Biography

I have been an artist for years, and a photographer for only a few. However, I have been drawing and painting for a very long time, so my knowledge of light is better than most with similar time behind a camera. I also benefit from years of figure drawing, so my anatomy and posing skills are more rooted in that base than anything one learns in modeling school. In other words, do NOT expect anything ordinary about what I tend to shoot. I almost always have a solid idea on how I think the finished image should appear before I setup anything. This also means that I tend to take time to plan a few shots for an idea I have in my head. I do not take 400 pictures of people changing poses unless that is what the client wants.

I am very protective of the professionalism of the images I shoot. I want my models to look their best, and the images to always have a goal. I do not shoot images that might cheapen the model or myself. You will never see my images with blurred skin to cover imperfections, as I really appreciate the texture of skin and most issues that need to be resolved are not that hard to do if you simply take time to do them.

I have extremely strong post-production skills from years of photoshop knowledge and experience restoring damaged images. However, I am not a paid retoucher for other photographers (with the exception of a few close friends), so models get the benefit of my photoshop knowledge when they work with me on projects.

Do not ask for photos the day after a shoot. I don't just push them out the door like a commodity or pop them on a CD without perfecting them first, so it will normally take a few days to sort them. I take the time to pick the best shots and then focus on making them everything they can be, so you love to show them off and they always represent you at your best. Once I have photos ready, *then* you will get a password on my website where you can download them for personal use.

I am also very knowledgeable with Corel Painter and other traditional painting media. I am very willing to help others when needed and teach them what I know. I am always willing to share knowledge, be it what I know about photography, lighting, or retouching.

By day I own a large software development company based in Brookfield, WI. We also have a separate division for politicians and websites used for campaigns, which is where I do most of my photography. I will also do websites for barter or for close friends (or at least offer advice/shoulder to cry on if needed).

    So.. 2 quick things. 1. My link to my webpage still has greenmartini in the url so it doesnt take people to my website. 2.If you could make it so when you click on someone's rewards it takes you to that photo that won it. I know that's probably a mucho lot of html work to make it all work together but it would be a cool idea.
