Our voting procedure is a bit unique but helps keep the contests fair and winnable by the best images and prevents cheating. Here is how it works:

After the submission period for a contest ends, the voting will start. Images are select in a RANDOM order and are shown to you one at a time.

Each image should be judged on it's own merits, not in comparison to other images in the contest.

To vote, simply select the number of stars which the image should earn. Please use the scale that is shown so we all are judging against the same units of measure. Images of 10 stars should be extremely rare!

Once you vote on an image you are no longer able to change the given score, so choose carefully!

Once you have finished voting you will see the complete gallery of images with the number of stars under the images equal to your vote. Please note that you will never be allowed to vote on an image in which you are credited, so they will be skipped during the vote. Also, you will notice when reviewing your votes that those images have no stars, as you were unable to vote on them. Please rest assured others can vote on them, so don't freak out. :-)
